Food Hygiene in Secondary Schools
EU Regulation 852/2004 Hygiene for Foodstuffs requires organisations such as secondary schools to make sure that any staff who handle food are supervised, instructed and trained in Food Hygiene. Maintaining hygiene standards is essential in any organisation, particularly within a school, where germs can spread rapidly.
Our Level 2 Food Hygiene courses satisfy the legal requirement for food safety so it is perfect for school catering staff. It’s also a great learning tool for students studying food related courses, or those who wish to enter a relevant sector once they leave education.
It is recommended that all food premises should have at least one person trained to Level 3 – particularly if they are in charge of other staff and are responsible for the training of those staff.
